Detailed Introduction

This two-cavity split mold set is engineered for small-size aerospace multi-pin connectors that require anti-vibration and high-temperature resistance. The movable mold plate is equipped with two independent symmetrical cavities, integrated with internal slide blocks to form side undercut locking structures of aerospace connectors, which prevent loose disconnection under high-altitude vibration and temperature cycling environments. The central balanced runner system ensures uniform melt filling for two tiny thin-wall products, eliminating sink marks, warpage and inconsistent pin hole positions that would affect aviation circuit safety.

The whole manufacturing process complies with aerospace ultra-precision machining specifications: tiny complex contour cavities are processed via micro sinker EDM and wire cutting to guarantee micron-level dimensional accuracy; mold steel undergoes vacuum quenching and tempering heat treatment to enhance hardness, wear resistance and thermal stability; multi-stage nano mirror polishing removes micro burrs around micro pins to avoid metal debris short-circuiting aerospace circuits. Optional PVD hard coating can be applied to cavity surfaces to resist erosion from high-performance aerospace plastics including PEEK, PEI and glass-filled PA.

All mold inserts, slide core assemblies and mold base pass full CMM coordinate measurement and surface roughness inspection before mold assembly to strictly control pin spacing, undercut matching clearance and parting line flatness. We support full customized development based on aerospace 2D/3D engineering drawings or physical connector samples. Cavity quantity, slide mechanism design, mold steel grade and surface treatment can be adjusted according to extreme temperature, anti-shock reliability and service life requirements of aerospace equipment, meeting high-precision mass production demands of miniature aviation signal connectors.
