Our mold assembly workshop supports the final assembly, fitting, cleaning, adjustment, and verification of large precision molds. The first two images show the same type of work area and can be presented together as one manufacturing capability.
After individual mold plates, inserts, cores, sliders, guide components, and cooling parts have completed machining and inspection, technicians assemble them according to the mold drawing and process requirements. The work is performed on dedicated assembly benches that provide stable support for large and heavy mold structures.
Assembly and Fitting Capabilities
The workshop is mainly used for:
- Large mold base assembly
- Core and cavity insert installation
- Guide pin and guide bushing fitting
- Slider and lifter installation
- Ejector-system assembly
- Cooling-channel connection checks
- Fastener and locating-component installation
- Parting-surface cleaning and inspection
- Mold movement and clearance verification
Before assembly, technicians clean the mold plates and machined components to remove oil, chips, dust, and other residues. Each component is checked against the drawing, assembly sequence, and identification records before installation.
During fitting, the team verifies the positional relationship between mold components and checks whether moving mechanisms operate smoothly. Local interference, excessive clearance, alignment deviation, or assembly resistance can be identified and corrected before the mold enters the next validation stage.
Role in the Mold Manufacturing Process
Large mold assembly connects machining, grinding, EDM, inspection, and final mold validation. A typical workflow may include:
- Component cleaning and identification
- Drawing and assembly-plan review
- Mold plate and insert installation
- Guide, slider, and ejector assembly
- Cooling and connection checks
- Clearance and movement verification
- Initial opening and closing inspection
- Transfer to mold spotting or trial validation
Keeping assembly and fitting within our factory allows mold designers, machining technicians, assembly personnel, and quality inspectors to communicate directly when adjustment is required.
The workshop shown represents our capability for assembling and fitting large mold systems. The actual procedure depends on the mold structure, component quantity, movement mechanism, dimensional requirements, and customer validation standards.
