Mold Assembly Workshop

Our mold assembly workshop is used for the in-house assembly, fitting, adjustment, and final verification of mold components after machining, EDM, grinding, and inspection. The image shows multiple assembly stations arranged in parallel, allowing technicians to work on different mold projects at the same time.

This workshop supports the transition from individual machined parts to complete mold systems. Mold bases, inserts, cores, sliders, guide components, ejector parts, and fastening elements are assembled according to drawings and technical requirements, with each workstation providing a stable area for checking fit, alignment, and functional movement.

Assembly Capabilities

The mold assembly workshop is mainly used for:

  • Mold base assembly
  • Insert and core installation
  • Slider and lifter fitting
  • Guide pin and guide bushing assembly
  • Ejector system installation
  • Fastener and locating-part installation
  • Clearance and interference checks
  • Mold movement verification
  • Cleaning, inspection, and final adjustment

Before assembly, mold components are cleaned and sorted according to the project and drawing requirements. Technicians then assemble the parts in sequence and check whether each component matches the required position, orientation, and functional relationship.

During this stage, the team may also verify:

  • Plate alignment
  • Insert position
  • Guide-system movement
  • Ejector action
  • Local fitting condition
  • Assembly clearance
  • Surface contact condition
  • General mold completeness

Role in the Manufacturing Process

The mold assembly workshop is an important stage between component manufacturing and mold validation. It connects machining and EDM results with the final structural performance of the mold.

A typical workflow may include:

  1. Component cleaning and identification
  2. Drawing and assembly review
  3. Mold base and insert assembly
  4. Installation of moving and guiding parts
  5. Functional and clearance checks
  6. Local fitting and adjustment
  7. Final inspection before spotting or trial

Because assembly is completed within our factory, engineers, assemblers, machinists, and quality personnel can coordinate more directly when a component needs correction or adjustment.

Typical Applications

This workshop is suitable for:

  • Plastic injection molds
  • Precision mold assemblies
  • Medium and large mold structures
  • Replacement mold maintenance
  • Trial-mold preparation
  • Mold fitting before validation

The workshop shown represents our in-house mold assembly capability. Actual assembly procedures are arranged according to mold size, structure, number of components, movement mechanisms, and final application requirements.
