Japanese NISSEI NEX80IV All-Electric Injection Molding Machine

Our precision molding workshop is equipped with multiple Japanese NISSEI injection molding machines for mold trials, sample verification, process development, and repeat production of precision plastic components.

The model visible in the image is the NISSEI NEX80IV, part of the NEX-IV all-electric injection molding machine series. The NEX80IV has a rated clamping force of 784 kN, equivalent to the 80-ton machine class.

The machines are integrated into our in-house mold manufacturing and molding workflow. Mold installation, material preparation, parameter setup, trial molding, product inspection, and process adjustment can be coordinated within the same facility.

Injection Molding Capabilities

The NISSEI NEX80IV uses electric servo control for the main molding movements. Plastic material is heated and plasticized inside the barrel, injected into the closed mold cavity, held under controlled pressure, cooled, and then released through the mold’s ejection system.

The machine supports adjustment and monitoring of key process conditions, including:

  • Injection speed and pressure
  • Screw position and metering
  • Holding pressure and time
  • Barrel temperature
  • Mold opening and closing
  • Clamping force
  • Cooling time
  • Ejector movement
  • Overall molding cycle

NISSEI’s NEX-IV platform combines a precision metering function with its Flat Clamp and linear-pressure toggle structure to support repeatable injection volume and more uniform clamping pressure. The series also includes automatic clamping-force adjustment and direct clamping-force setting functions.

Typical Applications

The equipment supports the molding of:

  • Precision plastic components
  • Electronic and connector parts
  • Small structural components
  • Insert-molded parts
  • Mold-trial samples
  • Functional plastic prototypes
  • Low-volume production batches
  • Repeat-production components

The NEX-IV series was designed to accommodate a broad range of mold structures, including hot-runner molds, longer products, and increasingly complex molds, while maintaining a relatively compact machine footprint.

Controlled Molding Environment

The NISSEI machines are installed in an enclosed and organized production area. Operators use protective clothing while handling materials, molds, molded parts, and inspection activities.

The electric drive structure reduces the dependence on hydraulic systems for the principal machine movements. NISSEI also notes that the NEX-IV series uses wear-resistant toggle components and linear guides to reduce routine greasing requirements and support cleaner molding applications.

No specific cleanroom classification should be stated unless it is supported by environmental monitoring data or formal certification.

Role in Our Manufacturing Process

The Japanese NISSEI injection molding machines form part of our integrated mold development and precision molding capability. They are coordinated with mold design, CNC machining, EDM, grinding, mold assembly, mold trials, and dimensional inspection.

A typical production workflow may include:

  1. Mold assembly and fitting
  2. Mold installation on the molding machine
  3. Resin drying and material preparation
  4. Initial process-parameter setup
  5. Trial sample production
  6. Appearance and dimensional inspection
  7. Mold or process adjustment
  8. Repeat validation and batch production

Keeping mold trials and molding operations within our facility allows mold technicians, process engineers, machine operators, and quality personnel to review results directly. Filling, flash, shrinkage, appearance, cooling, dimensional, or ejection issues can be evaluated against the actual molded samples before the process is approved.

Multiple injection molding machines in the same workshop also allow projects to be arranged according to mold size, material, component geometry, process requirements, order quantity, and production schedule.

The Japanese NISSEI NEX80IV machines shown represent part of our factory’s precision plastic molding capacity. Actual molding methods and results depend on the resin material, mold design, component geometry, process settings, appearance requirements, and dimensional tolerances.
