CCD Vision Inspection System

Our production area is equipped with automated CCD vision inspection systems for the appearance, dimensional, and feature verification of small precision plastic components.

The system combines a vibratory bowl feeder, automatic part-positioning mechanism, industrial cameras, controlled lighting, image-processing software, and automatic sorting units. Components are continuously fed into the inspection station, captured from defined angles, and compared with preset inspection criteria.

Key Advantages

  • Automated continuous inspection
  • Fast defect identification
  • Consistent inspection standards
  • Automatic sorting of parts
  • Reduced manual inspection variation

Inspection Capabilities

The CCD vision inspection system can be configured to check:

  • Part shape and outline
  • Hole presence and position
  • Overall dimensions
  • Flash and burrs
  • Short shots and incomplete molding
  • Cracks, deformation, and surface defects
  • Missing or incorrect features
  • Color and appearance variation
  • Mixed or incorrectly oriented parts

After inspection, accepted and nonconforming components can be separated automatically into different collection containers.

Role in Our Quality-Control Process

The system is mainly used for the batch inspection of small injection-molded parts before packaging or transfer to the next production stage. Automated feeding and sorting allow large quantities of components to be checked under consistent lighting, camera positions, and judgment standards.

Inspection results can also provide feedback to the injection molding, tooling, and quality teams. When recurring defects are identified, mold condition, molding parameters, material preparation, and handling processes can be reviewed and adjusted.

The equipment shown represents our in-house automated CCD vision inspection capability. Actual inspection items and acceptance criteria are configured according to the component geometry, drawing requirements, appearance standards, and project specifications.
