Detailed Introduction

This automotive multi-pin connector injection mold is developed for vehicle wiring harness plug housings with dense multi-hole terminal positioning structures. The mold core features a 4-cavity symmetrical layout with central balanced runner paths for each cavity, ensuring consistent plastic melt filling to eliminate short shots, warpage and dimensional inconsistency during continuous mass production. The movable mold half is equipped with yellow spring ejection components to deliver even demolding force and prevent thin-wall connector deformation during ejection.

The full mold manufacturing workflow adheres to strict precision machining standards: intricate multi-pin slot cavity contours are processed via 5-axis CNC and micro sinker EDM; mold steel undergoes vacuum quenching & tempering heat treatment to boost hardness and wear resistance; ultra-precision grinding and mirror polishing remove tiny surface burrs for smooth demolding. Optional nitriding or PVD coating can be applied to cavity surfaces to resist corrosion from glass-filled PA66, PA12 and other automotive engineering plastics.

All mold inserts, guide pins and mold base components pass full CMM coordinate measurement before assembly to strictly control cavity depth, pin hole position and parting line geometric tolerances. We support full custom development based on customer 2D/3D engineering drawings or physical connector samples. Cavity count, mold steel grade, surface treatment and ejection structures can be adjusted according to daily production volume, plastic material and service life requirements, satisfying high-precision mass production demands for automotive wiring connector housings.
