Detailed Introduction

This high-efficiency split mold set is designed for circular multi-terminal automotive connectors with circumferential undercut locking structures. The mold core features four independent circular cavities arranged in a 2-row × 2-column symmetrical layout, equipped with long horizontal slide pins on the movable mold plate to form the surrounding buckling features of round connector shells, solving the problem of product sticking during ejection. The central balanced runner system delivers uniform melt pressure to each circular cavity, eliminating uneven wall thickness, sink marks and circular deformation of thin-wall plastic parts.

The fixed mold plate is integrated with brass cooling connectors and internal conformal cooling circuits, which rapidly dissipate injection heat to shorten molding cycle and stabilize shrinkage rate. Modular split cavity inserts allow single worn inserts to be replaced separately, greatly cutting mold maintenance costs and downtime. The slide base and slide block assembly at the top of the movable mold ensure smooth and stable core pulling action without jamming during automated mass production.

The full ultra-precision manufacturing workflow complies with automotive industry quality standards: dense micro pin hole contours inside each circular cavity are processed via micro wire EDM and sinker EDM to guarantee consistent terminal hole pitch and concentricity; mold steel undergoes vacuum quenching & tempering heat treatment to enhance hardness and resistance to glass-filled PA66 and PBT flame-retardant plastics; multi-stage mirror polishing removes micro burrs to avoid plastic flash that may cause circuit short-circuit risks. Optional PVD hard coating can be applied to slide pins and cavity surfaces to extend mold service life.

All mold inserts, slide assemblies and mold base pass full CMM coordinate measurement inspection before assembly to strictly control circular cavity roundness, slide matching clearance and parting line flatness. We fully support custom development based on automotive 2D/3D engineering drawings or physical connector samples. Cavity diameter, pin quantity, slide stroke and cooling layout can be adjusted according to vehicle working temperature, waterproof grade and service life requirements, meeting high-reliability mass production demands of circular automotive wiring connectors.
