Detailed Introduction

This 4-cavity split mold set features a 2×2 symmetrical matrix cavity layout for small multi-terminal electronic connectors. The fixed mold half adopts detachable independent cavity inserts, which allow single damaged inserts to be replaced separately instead of overhauling the entire mold, greatly cutting maintenance downtime and cost. The movable mold plate is equipped with matched ejection structures to provide uniform demolding force and prevent bending or deformation of ultra-thin connector plastic parts.

Integrated conformal cooling circuits with brass water connectors are embedded inside the mold plate, which rapidly dissipates molding heat to shorten cycle time and stabilize shrinkage rate, effectively eliminating warpage and sink marks on miniature thin-wall products. Reinforced large-diameter guide pin holes and precise interlocking positioning blocks ensure high repeatability during mold closing, avoiding flash and dimensional offset under high injection pressure. The red travel limit component serves as a safety stop to stabilize mold opening and closing strokes during continuous automated production.

The full ultra-precision manufacturing workflow complies with electronic mold standards: intricate micro pin slot contours are processed via micro sinker EDM and wire EDM to guarantee micron-level pin pitch tolerance; mold steel undergoes vacuum quenching & tempering heat treatment to boost hardness and wear resistance against glass-filled PBT, PA66 and LCP; multi-stage mirror polishing removes micro burrs around tiny cavities for smooth, defect-free demolding. Optional PVD hard coating can be applied to cavity inserts to extend mold service life.

All mold inserts, guide assemblies and mold base pass full CMM coordinate measurement inspection before assembly to strictly control pin concentricity, cavity flatness and mold closing matching clearance. We fully support custom development based on customer 2D/3D engineering drawings or physical connector samples. Cavity layout, pin density, mold steel grade and surface treatment can be adjusted according to daily production capacity, plastic material characteristics and target service life, meeting high-volume precision production demands of miniature electronic signal connectors.
