Detailed Introduction

This long strip high-density pin connector mold is developed for multi-row dense pin electronic connector housings. The mold core is designed as an integrated single long cavity, equipped with dozens of micro precision pin inserts arranged in uniform arrays, which directly form the dense circular pin positioning holes on the finished black plastic connector. The runner layout optimizes flow balance for long-length parts to effectively avoid filling lag, shrinkage and warpage at both ends of the strip product.

The whole mold adopts strict ultra-precision machining workflow: dense tiny pin contours are processed via micro sinker EDM and wire cutting to guarantee consistent pin diameter and position tolerance; mold steel undergoes vacuum quenching and tempering to improve surface hardness and wear resistance; multi-step precision grinding and mirror polishing eliminate tiny burrs around pin holes for smooth demolding. Optional PVD coating can be applied to pin inserts to enhance anti-corrosion performance against glass-filled engineering plastics.

All mold core inserts and mold base components undergo full CMM coordinate measurement inspection before assembly to strictly control pin spacing, cavity flatness and overall dimensional accuracy. Custom development is fully supported based on customer 2D/3D drawings or physical samples. Mold steel grade, pin density, surface treatment and ejection structure can be adjusted according to production volume, plastic material and service life requirements, to meet high-precision production demands of long high-density electronic connectors.
