Japanese FANUC ROBOSHOT Electric Injection Molding Machine

Our precision molding area is equipped with multiple Japanese FANUC ROBOSHOT all-electric injection molding machines. The equipment supports in-house mold trials, process validation, sample production, and repeat manufacturing of precision plastic components.

The machine visible in the center of the image is marked FANUC ROBOSHOT α-S30iA. Other machines in the workshop may use different specifications, so the general FANUC ROBOSHOT equipment name is more suitable when presenting the complete production area.

FANUC ROBOSHOT machines integrate FANUC CNC and servo technology to control injection, plasticizing, clamping, and ejection movements. FANUC positions the ROBOSHOT platform as an all-electric injection molding system for precise and stable molding.

Injection Molding Capabilities

The FANUC ROBOSHOT machines are used to melt plastic material and inject it into a closed mold cavity under programmed process conditions. After cooling and solidification, the mold opens and the finished component is ejected.

The equipment supports adjustment and monitoring of key molding parameters such as:

  • Injection speed and pressure
  • Screw position
  • Plasticizing conditions
  • Mold clamping movement
  • Holding pressure and time
  • Cooling time
  • Ejector movement
  • Production cycle conditions

Precise control of these parameters helps our production team evaluate filling behavior, dimensional stability, appearance, demolding performance, and repeatability across multiple molding cycles.

Typical Applications

The equipment can support the molding of:

  • Precision plastic components
  • Small structural parts
  • Connector and electronic components
  • Insert-molded parts
  • Mold-trial samples
  • Functional prototypes
  • Low-volume production batches
  • Repeat-production components

FANUC describes ROBOSHOT as suitable for precision and stable molding, with applications including electronic, automotive, optical, and medical-related plastic components.

Controlled Production Environment

The injection molding machines are installed in an enclosed and organized production area. Operators wear protective workwear while carrying out material preparation, machine operation, sample handling, and process inspection.

The workshop environment supports cleaner production and helps reduce contamination during the molding of parts with controlled appearance or cleanliness requirements. However, no specific cleanroom classification should be stated unless supported by the factory’s environmental monitoring records or certification documents.

Role in Our Manufacturing Process

The FANUC injection molding machines are integrated with our mold design, machining, EDM, grinding, assembly, trial, and inspection capabilities.

A typical workflow may include:

  1. Mold assembly and fitting
  2. Mold installation on the ROBOSHOT machine
  3. Material drying and preparation
  4. Initial molding parameter setup
  5. Sample production
  6. Appearance and dimensional inspection
  7. Mold or process adjustment
  8. Repeat validation and production

Keeping mold trials and injection molding within our facility allows mold technicians, process engineers, machine operators, and quality personnel to review results directly. When filling, dimensional, surface, cooling, or ejection issues are identified, process parameters or mold details can be adjusted according to actual trial results.

The Japanese FANUC ROBOSHOT machines shown form part of our factory’s precision plastic molding capability. Actual production methods depend on the mold structure, resin material, component geometry, appearance requirements, dimensional tolerances, and required production quantity.
