Our CNC workshop operates multiple OKUMA GENOS M460V-e three-axis vertical machining centers as part of its precision manufacturing capacity. These machines are used for machining metal components that require stable dimensional control, efficient material removal, and consistent surface quality.
The equipment supports milling, drilling, boring, tapping, contour machining, and finishing within the same production setup. It is used across prototype development, engineering validation, low-volume manufacturing, and repeat production.
With an X/Y/Z machining range of approximately 762 × 460 × 460 mm, a 1,000 × 460 mm worktable, a spindle speed of up to 15,000 rpm, and a 32-tool magazine, the GENOS M460V-e is suitable for a broad range of small and medium-sized precision components
Key Advantages:
- Stable precision machining
- High-speed spindle performance
- Efficient multi-process production
- Consistent surface finishing
- Reliable repeat manufacturing
Equipment and Production Capabilities
The OKUMA GENOS M460V-e is used in our factory for machining precision mechanical parts, mold components, automation parts, fixtures, tooling, and equipment structural components. Its three-axis configuration provides sufficient travel for many medium-sized workpieces while maintaining a relatively compact and stable machining platform.
The machine’s high-speed spindle supports both efficient material removal and detailed finishing operations. Depending on the selected cutting tools and process parameters, it can be used to machine aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, engineering plastics, and other commonly specified manufacturing materials.
Typical components processed with this equipment include:
- Automation and robotics components
- Precision mechanical housings
- Mold inserts and mold components
- Jigs, fixtures, and inspection tooling
- Equipment brackets and structural parts
- Components with holes, pockets, slots, and complex contours
The machine provides rapid traverse speeds of approximately 40 m/min on the X and Y axes and 32 m/min on the Z axis, helping reduce positioning and other non-cutting time between machining operations. Its automatic tool magazine allows drilling, milling, tapping, and finishing tools to be used within one programmed production cycle.
Role in Our CNC Workshop
Several OKUMA machining centers are installed within the same production area, allowing work to be distributed according to part geometry, material, tolerance requirements, process complexity, and delivery schedule. This arrangement supports both parallel production and repeat-order planning.
CNC programming, fixture preparation, tool selection, machining, and in-process inspection are coordinated by our internal production team. Keeping these operations within the factory allows engineering, machining, and quality-control personnel to communicate directly when a toolpath, fixture, cutting parameter, or inspection method needs adjustment.
The GENOS M460V-e is particularly useful for components that require multiple features to maintain a consistent positional relationship. Completing several operations in one setup can reduce repeated clamping, limit setup variation, and improve alignment between machined holes, pockets, surfaces, and contours.
OKUMA also equips the GENOS platform with its own CNC control and machining technologies, supporting coordinated machine operation and process stability during precision production.
Note: The equipment shown is an OKUMA GENOS M460V-e installed in our CNC workshop. Actual machining accuracy and production capability depend on the workpiece material, geometry, tooling, fixture design, CNC program, and inspection requirements of each project.
