Accuracy control is one of the most important parts of precision mold component machining.

Before machining begins, engineers review the drawings carefully to understand tolerance requirements, datum references, fit relationships, surface finish needs, and assembly functions. This step is necessary because mold components do not work independently. Each insert, cavity, core, slider, guide component, and ejector structure must match correctly within the full mold system.

CNC machining provides the basic shape and dimensional control for many mold components. Stable fixturing, unified datum control, tool path planning, machine condition, and tool management all influence machining accuracy. For detailed structures, EDM may be used to process deep cavities, sharp corners, ribs, or complex features that are difficult to complete by conventional cutting.

Grinding and polishing also play important roles. Grinding improves flatness, parallelism, and fitting surfaces, while polishing affects product appearance, demolding performance, and surface quality. For precision mold parts, finishing work must be controlled carefully to avoid changing critical dimensions.

Inspection is carried out throughout the process, not only at the end. Intermediate measurement helps identify deviations early and prevents errors from moving into later assembly stages. Final fitting inspection then confirms whether each component matches the mold structure as designed.

Through engineering review, controlled machining, process inspection, and assembly verification, precision mold component accuracy can be maintained more consistently.
