Mold trial and inspection are important steps before a mold enters stable mass production.

A mold trial is not simply a test run. It is a verification process that checks whether the mold structure, injection parameters, cooling system, ejection method, and product quality meet production requirements. Before trial molding begins, the mold must be assembled and inspected. The injection machine, raw material, drying conditions, cooling connection, and basic process parameters are also prepared.

During the trial, engineers observe the filling condition, product appearance, demolding performance, and cycle stability. Common review points include short shot, flash, weld lines, air traps, sink marks, deformation, surface marks, and product release. These results help determine whether the mold structure and processing parameters need adjustment.

Trial samples are then measured according to the product drawings and tolerance requirements. Dimensional inspection helps confirm shrinkage behavior, assembly fit, wall thickness, hole position, and key functional areas. If the samples do not meet requirements, mold adjustment or parameter optimization may be carried out.

Mold trial also provides valuable information for future production. Stable samples, clear inspection records, optimized parameters, and customer confirmation all help prepare the mold for long-term manufacturing.

For precision plastic parts, careful mold trial and inspection can improve production confidence and support more reliable batch production.
