1. PBT plastic material

However, this material has poor formability and suffers from severe shrinkage. When wave soldering is performed at low temperatures, plastic will melt.

2. Nylon-66. 

Resin that is thermoplastic. White solid. Density 1.14. Melting point 253 ℃. Only soluble in m-cresol, etc., and insoluble in common solvents. High mechanical strength and hardness, high rigidity. Can be used as engineering plastics. Rockwell hardness 108-118. Heat deformation temperature (1814.11 Pa, 18.5 kgf/cm2) 66-86 ℃. Rather than non-ferrous metal materials as machine casings, car engine blades, etc., they are used as mechanical accessories, like gears and lubricating bearings. It can also be used to make synthetic fibers.

3. 6T plastic material

Connector manufacturers state that this material is typically used in 2.54-pitch patch headers and 1.27-pitch/2.0-pitch series headers. Because this material's soldering resistance temperature is between 260 degrees and 290 degrees, the female header connector produced by this material is slightly more expensive. The choice of this material is generally based on the quality requirements of customers on the product.

4. 9T plastic material

Connector products that will use this type of material are mostly 2.54-pitch SMD female headers, and 1.27-pitch/2.0-pitch series female headers. The welding resistance temperature is around 260-300 degrees. 9T plastic materials are generally used to produce connector products only when customers have special requirements.

5. LCP plastic material

It is suitable for the production of high-precision female custom high precision connector injection products of various spacing series, and the welding resistance temperature ranges from 260 degrees to 320 degrees. This material has a small linear expansion coefficient, low injection molding shrinkage, good strength and elastic modulus, excellent heat resistance, high load-deformation temperature, and excellent chemical resistance and air tightness. When it comes to SMT, high precision connector injection maker will suggest that LCP is preferred.

However, the price of using this kind of material to make connector products will be higher, because the cost of the material itself is expensive, and it must also be integrated into the process of high precision automobile connector injection, so this type of material is generally reserved for special customers.
